The Beaver Creek Wetlands Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the wetlands along the Beaver Creek in Greene county Ohio. The organization is a group of conservation-minded volunteers working to unite the parks and partners that make up the wetland corridor. This collection of interpretive panels are meant to help educate visitors on the major benefits wetlands provide to the region and the environment as a whole. These pieces also highlight the wide variety of plant and animal life living in the area and help explain the composition of wetland types.

The Huffman Prairie, a 112-acre plot of land, located on the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, is a conservation area established by Five Rivers MetroParks. In collaboration with the Air Force Base, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the National Park System, we worked to create interpretive graphics for the prairie. The panels were created to inform the public about the benefits of the prairie for local wildlife, as well as the historical significance and maintenance practices used in caring for the land. A series of 24 different plant markers were created to identify the wide variety of plant life on the land as well.

This interactive space uses the entire 3rd floor of the Grace Museum in Texas to entice younger kids to create art. The examination and depth of what art actually means, is secondary. Defined in a multitude of ways, art is subjective and can be personal. The exhibits were designed with the intent to get the creation started with little instruction or hesitation. The reflection and examination of the visitor’s personal journey with artistic expression is the takeaway.

The RiverMobile is a traveling classroom created from a semi-trailer. As lead graphic designer, I helped develop and create the entire graphics package that included 5 different areas both inside and outside the trailer. These different areas used both static and video graphics to help educate kids on the history of the rivers in the Dayton region, as well as the benefits and preservation of water as a valuable resource.

BW Greenway Community Land Trust protects a variety of green space within Greene and Montgomery counties. Some of this land is reserved for public use. These panels guide users and help interpret the habitat and wildlife on these plots.
